Day 0

THE BIG DAY IS HERE!!!! 🙂 download (1)

I am super happy…I do wish I hadn’t missed out on my last week of workout…but I am proud of myself for accomplishing the personal challenge I had set for myself 🙂

I don’t how many of you reading this know how this feels but it feels super amazing for a highly unfit round person like me to be able to do the strenous workout of day 30 successfully..                      download (2)



I know this may sound borderline boastful but I already feel like a svelte-toned-sexy-fit-gym-freak-modeldownload (4)

(though its still a faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar away dream 😛 ) as I type my workout schedule that I survived of Day 30 🙂 :

Post work out I am way exhausted but I guess the fact, that today was day 30, kept me going 🙂

So, In conclusion…..

Was it easy?

Nope…this was probably one of the most difficult self imposed challenge I had ever taken up…But the motivation to not give up was there….I have had bad days and pitfalls….But I guess, the need to overcome myself has been a factor and definitely worth mentioning is the fact that you, my fellow bloggers have encouraged my efforts through your comments and likes….It motivated me to push myself so that I would have something to post about and to not fail..So, thank you for that 🙂

Have I achieved all I set for in my PLAN in these 30 days?

Well, not entirely…I still haven’t begun waking up at 5-5:30 am or started to go to bed at 22:00-23:00…                                        IMG_94599501905425

I have begun eating healthy, though I still have bad days where I end up completely binge-eating… IMG_52078998365288


I definitely have begun burning my calories…and most importantly, I have begun looking forward to my workouts instead of making excuses to avoid working out …images (15)

I am Alive! (barely)

No, I did not fall off the edge off the Earth….I was down with flu (which is worse)…Runny nose, sore throat, body pain ..the works…


On the plus side, I am recovering….On the minus side….I lost out 5 days of workout…n that too in my last week of the challenge!!! Also, as I was sick , I ate and drank whatever would please my throat and mood (that translates into a lot of bowls of hot slurpy pasta soup and  warm comforting french toasts with more than a few squeezes of hot chocolate sauce)


So, to summarize… I have devoured a few calorie bombs in these past few days and haven’t worked out…but am feeling better (still a slightly runny nose with some cough too but thankfully no headaches n body pains)….So, I hope to get on my exercise wagon and try to salvage my last 3 days and hope that it redeems me ….Wish me luck 🙂



Day 13!

Day 12 was awesome…absolute rest day 🙂

Day 13 had its challenges…but I am proud to inform that I did manage to wake up at 6 am 🙂 and workout today’s schedule ( I did struggle but I managed to achieve my goal for the day 🙂 )

Today’s workout plan was as follows:

I still struggle with my crunches and sit ups and of course the plank! But I have begun feeling the BURN post workout in my abs and a li’l on my thighs too..Hope this hints at losing the muffin top and less of thunder thighs 🙂 fingers crossed 🙂

Day 10! ! ! Ouch! ! ! :(

I hope you get the idea from today’s blog title that today HURTS!

My body is sore…even post a hot shower!!!

I barely scraped through today’s schedule…& I must confess I am very intimidated by the challenge!!! I know it is a bit of a late response to have cold feet on  DAY 10….. but till today, I was confident my body could do the target schedule…but now, am not too sure…the workout schedule is getting tougher and my body isn’t complying as much 😦

I am not being melodramatic….I failed to hit one of my target exercises today  😦 😦 😦 THE PLANK !!!!

 The schedule demanded that I do 38 seconds of plank but I let go at 28 seconds & in my second attempt at a measly 12 seconds (though , I could have sworn that the second’s hand on my watch was toooo slow today 😦 )


Also, to accomplish my most feared SIT UPS , today, I had to again split the 50 situps into 2 sets of 30 and 20…and I barely survived….

The only upside today, is that I am exhausted & kind of drowsy at 9 pm ….Hopefully, this will help me hit the sack early & have my target 5:30 am early morning!!!!


Day 05!

Well, well, well…Let me just start by saying I am super glad today that I took the rest day yesterday….Day 05 workout was a killer…My abs hurt!!!

Also, motivating yourself to workout after a day of rest, sure is difficult…It is just tempting to continue the rest day and let my muscles stay put :p

The squats had 3 sets today! & 30 sit ups!!!! By the end of the workout, I was out of air! & I barely could even finish my 20 seconds of planks!!!I couldn’t bring myself to even think of doing my daily set of Surya namaskar!

So, The Day 05 workout was:

Anyway, I am glad I managed to do the full workout uninterrupted & I just hope that it makes tomorrow’s workout slightly easier…Fingers crossed:)

Day 03 :)

Let me first start by saying Thank you for the likes, comments and follows…It definitely does lift up your morale to see that there are people who like what you have to say and they support your efforts 🙂 It sure does motivate you to stay on track (as I mentioned in My Plan…I tend to be a people pleaser…finally its paying off :D)

So, back to my Day 03 , much to my surprise, unlike yesterday, I did not experience muscle pain or soreness on waking up…I felt good.. pretty normal…So, that in itself was a motivation to stick to the challenge….


However, as I have not yet been able to wake up early, I had a lot of interruptions during my workout ….Deliveries, Posts, Phone calls…even my neighbour with whom I barely interact felt the need to drop in to say Hi!!! Still…despite it all…I did check off everything in today’s workout schedule 🙂

Today the workout did feel a bit difficult… the sit ups felt impossible to start at…after 15 reps, I almost felt like giving up..but pushed through the last 10 (though not as perfectly as the first 10! ) images (7)

Also the squats had 2 sets today…..2nd set needed a lot of loud counting (to self motivate) and some breaks for 1-2 mins between the different variations of Squats.

Anyway, the workout schedule for the day was as follows:

Not highly impressed with my form today but definitely proud of being able to finish the whole workout as pre-decided…

Post workout today, my body does feel sore..but as suggested by Dawn (from fat 2 skinny in 1 year ) , I had a nice warm bath  ( No Epsom salts in the house..I need to go get me some) & that did help.. 🙂 ( Thank you Dawn :* )

Tomorrow is supposed to be a Rest day 🙂 but I do hope to go for a brisk walk or something in the evening…just to maintain the momentum that I have developed… I hope to continue my journey and improve my form along with my stamina and it would be awesome if I ended up losing some flab (okie…I hope I end up losing ALOT of flab in the process :p)

Day 02!!!:)

No…I didn’t fall out 😀

Yes…I am still on track :p

But before I start telling how amazing I felt after pulling off day 2’s workout…Lemme tell you how horribly sore I was the whole morning…I was moaning, my muscles were sore & I just didn’t want to get out of bed!

But, at the same time I didn’t want to admit failure online for the whole wide world to see…(In case anyone is following my post:P), I did manage to get out of bed , eat some fruit before I got to working my ass (& abs…& thighs…oh my thighs..they hurt!) off….

So, this was my workout for Day 2 of the fitness Challenge:

Well, Once I started the reps.. it was amazing…My body complied & didn’t complain…And I was amazed and happy to be able to do 20 sit ups without any break!

Post workout I had an awesome poached egg and tomato sandwich in brown bread:)

For the rest of the day too , I ate healthy low calorie homecooked foods…

I am proud of myself 🙂 & I think the fact I am making these healthy changes to my life is going to be the best thing at the end of my challenge..
